"A Good Program, But It Depends on the Group"
I really like the idea behind Girls on the Run, especially how it tries to help girls feel included, supported, and confident. There are definitely moments where it feels really welcoming, like when everyone cheers each other on, or when the coaches encourage quieter kids, or when the group activities help the girls open up, or even just when no one is made to feel left out for running slower. But i think the experience can depend a lot on the local group, the coaches, the kids involved, the location, and even the overall vibe from week to week. It’s not a bad program at all, and there’s a lot to appreciate, but I do think it could be more consistent so every girl feels equally included, whether she’s super athletic, shy, new to the group, not a fast runner, or just there to make friends.

"Really Safe and Well Supervised"
I had a really good experience. The supervision was great the whole time, and I felt very safe and looked after. It made everything feel much more comfortable and easy.

"Helped my daughter feel more confident"
My daughter started Girls on the Run shy about her body and worried about keeping up. The coaches kept it fun and never made it about speed or looks. Now she’s much kinder to herself, which means a lot.

"I wasn’t really sure how the…"
I wasn’t really sure how the fee help would work, but we ended up getting some support and my kid was able to join. So far, I’m glad we gave it a try.

"We started using this a few weeks..."
We started using this a few weeks ago, and I noticed quickly that it was having a positive impact on my kid. By the end of the first week, things felt a little easier, and over time I could see some real progress. It’s not perfect and there are still a few things I wish were better, but overall I’m glad we tried it.

"Felt Like a Steady Hand When I Needed It"
I felt kind of trapped when I started reading, like I was stuck in my own head and couldn’t really move forward. But every chapter felt steady and genuinely supportive, almost like someone calmly walking me through things without rushing me. It was comforting in a really down-to-earth way

"Really Worth It for My Daughter"
This really helped my daughter feel more confident, that alone makes it worth it to me. I noticed a positive change in how she carried herself, which was great to see.

"Pretty easy to find a nearby spot"
I was expecting it to take a bit longer, but finding a Girls on the Run location near us was easy. The site pulled up places close by, and I just kind of clicked around until we found one that worked. And yeah, big plus that we didn’t have to drive super far.

"Really glad we found this"
She’s been moving around more, getting stronger, and actually doesn’t complain about practice anymore, which is a huge win for us. I thought we might need to try a bunch of other things, but that turned out to be unnecessary. Really happy we found this.

"I was checking out some local programs…"
I was checking out some local programs and the site made the whole thing simple. The pages loaded quickly, the info was easy to understand, and signing up didn’t feel confusing at all. It also worked really well on my phone, which was a nice "bonus."

"Not quite as simple as I expected"
I thought this would be a bit more straightforward to use, but it took more effort than I expected. It works, but the setup and overall process could definitely be easier and more intuitive...

I did notice that some replies came a bit late, but the information was actually helpful once it came through. You might have to wait a little sometimes, but overall it still helped me out.

"Nice coaches and a welcoming vibe"
Everyone seemed to feel included, which I really appreciated. The coaches were nice and easy to talk to. It did feel a little unorganized at times, like maybe if they had a bit more structure or... but overall it was a good experience.

"Surprisingly Easy Sign-Up"
Signing my daughter up was simple, which was a nice surprise because these things are usually more annoying than they need to be. The steps were clear, I didn’t get stuck, and it only took a few minutes. Confirmation came through quickly too, so I really can’t complain. Glad it was easy for once.

"Started Off Mixed, but the Last Few Sessions Stood Out"
My daughter did enjoy the program overall, but the experience really depended on which coach was there that day. Some of the coaches were awesome and kept the kids engaged, while one seemed unprepared most weeks. To be fair, the most recent sessions were better, so that’s what’s sticking with me right now, but I do wish the coaching was more consistent.

"My 9-year-old joined Girls on the Run…"
My 9-year-old joined Girls on the Run, it just felt like the perfect fit for her right now. It wasn’t too grown-up or too little-kid-ish, which I was relieved about. The lessons made sense to her, and she’d come home in such a good mood, feeling proud of herself and a little more confident each time. I’m really glad we gave it a try.

"So grateful for the confidence it gave my daughter"
My daughter started Girls on the Run feeling nervous and unsure of herself, i was a little worried about how she’d do. But after just a few weeks, I could feel the shift in her. She was speaking up more, willing to try things that used to scare her, and not taking every little mistake so hard. The running was great, of course, but seeing her believe in herself more was what really got me. I’m just so glad we found this program.

"The cost was doable for..."
The cost was doable for us, especially after seeing what other people were paying for similar options. It felt like a fair price overall.

"I really liked getting to help the girls…"
I really liked getting to help the girls, and I think the mission behind it is genuinely nice. Some days were a little all over the place though, and I do feel like communication with volunteers could’ve been better. But overall, I’m still glad I tried it.

"They’re actually learning useful things"
I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how much real, practical stuff the kids are picking up. It’s not just vague lessons or busywork — they come home talking about specific little details, like why something works a certain way or the exact steps they used to figure it out. I noticed because they’ll repeat the smallest parts of the lesson at dinner, which is kind of funny, but also really reassuring. It feels like they’re actually learning things they can use.
